Light under the bridge

When Chrys and I went for a morning stroll in Lyon by the river Rhône, I was surprised by the effects that the light generated under the bridges. As well as the natural light, it was the metallic teal colour and the curves of this heavy structure that got my full attention.

Even though the natural light was amazing that morning, this series is a bit dark....

The early colours of Lyon

It's around 7.30am and the cold is still present in Lyon by the river Rhône.

1

Chrys and I wanted to see the city waking up.
We can feel that there's movement.

2

Some people are out.
Some doing their morning run and others starting their shift.

3

We even came across an early bird.

4

We are all enjoying the early colours of Lyon.

Good-Morning Lyon!

Good-morning Lyon!

1

It is 7.30am and Chrys and I are by the river Rhône in the centre of Lyon.

2

It's cold.

3

About -4 degrees C and we are appreciating the fuss-free city, with only a couple cars passing by and a calm atmosphere reigning.

4

It's the start of the day.

5

People are gently coming onto the streets and the city is gradually waking up.

6

Have a nice day...

Delicate pink

As if sugar coated flowers, these delicate pink petals caught my eyes...

The fog of Super Besse

You think the Alps and the Pyrenees are the only places where you can ski and snowboard in France? You might be surprised if I tell you that the Volcanic region of France also offers snow fun for families in the centre of the country.

Super Besse is a super ski station and here's the link to all facilities if you fancy a trip there.

I happened to go there recently for the day and the scenery was beautiful. The trees were covered with thick snow and the landscape was amazing. Sadly I could not stop the car to take some very snowy snapshots of the white vegetation, but I managed to capture the thick fog that reigned there the whole day.

The scenery was so magical with the fog surrounding the close high hills that, let me tell you, I was not the only one snapping away.

To a super day at Super Besse!

I forgot to mention that really close to Super Besse, you come across the village of St Nectaire where this wonderful cheese is from. You can also visit beautiful old villages close by. The area is truly a lovely place to discover, rich in sport, landscape and gastronomy (well cheese!).

From curvy to straight

Apart from a breath of fresh air and plenty of vegetation to walk by, the park I went to had a lot to offer in terms of "industrial" items. I enjoyed playing with the metal and cast iron based curves & lines that stood in front of me (and my feet).

From curvy to straight lines, in a concrete way.

Canal reflections

Along a canal in Worcestershire (UK), my attention went straight to the reflections of the surrounding trees and beautiful narrow boats. The natural colours of the vegetation and quite striking colours of the boats contrasted. Once again, I turned the photo upside down to give it more of an obscure look.

These are canal reflections...
